About
Olivia is a textile artist and designer living and working in Brooklyn. She received her BA in Art History from Vassar College. Interested in finding contemporary spaces for traditional craft, Olivia works from old family photographs and histories and creates embroidered images on her free motion embroidery machine.
The objects she creates are inspired by the worlds of her two Grandmothers and their fearless female friends: dynamic ladies who wore head-to-toe purple and gaudy costume jewelry, asserted their opinions loudly, and were unequivocally themselves.
